APPLICATION PROCESS for Vinyl Wraps Application of the vinyl wrap can normally be completed in a day, depending on size and complexity of both the design and the vehicle. For a full vinyl wrap, the design is broken down into sections relating to the dimensions of the vehicle in order that sufficient extra material is available to wrap round door edges etc.

As a Scotchprint Graphics Applications Company we are fully trained and authorised to apply viynl wraps to almost any substrate. However, in the off chance that we can't, due to the specialised nature of the application (i.e. Boeing 747's, submarines or the Space Shuttle), we personally know those specialist applicators that can! But rest assured that in day to day applications, nothing competes with the difficulties of wrapping compound curves and recesses found on fully wrapped vehicles.

CAN I DO THE APPLICATION? In terms of skill required, the application of a vehicle-wrap may be compared to attempting to wallpaper a ceiling while wearing a blindfold and having one hand tied behind your back...in other words it is not something that we suggest that anyone try at home without previous experience.

We do not recommend that anyone attempt a full wrap application to a vehicle unless they have received comprehensive training in this highly skilled task. Application by anyone unqualified for vinyl application will invalidate any warranty covering the vinyl.

PIMMS has access to a nationwide team of manufacturer-approved vinyl fitters and will direct you to the nearest one if PIMMS own fitters are unavailable or uneconomic due to distance.

Nevertheless, if your requirements are only for a small graphic, then you may wish to undertake the application yourself.
